Classic Car Boot Sale returns to London
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Fans of vintage cars, fashion and memorabilia will have all their wishes met at next month’s Classic Car Boot Sale, returning to London’s Southbank Centre.
Following the inaugural event last year that attracted over 8,000 visitors this year’s event has been extended over Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th March.
Located along the riverfront at Southbank Centre between the Queen’s Walk, Hungerford Bridge and Jubilee Gardens, the Classic Car Boot Sale will have an interesting mix of fashions, homeware and memorabilia, all sold from the boots of classic cars.
You can expect to see VW campervans and vintage bicycles, iconic cars like the Ford Mustang and an ex-US Navy 1942 Chevrolet Style Master. Vintage style-spotters will be roaming the site over the weekend looking for style-savvy car booters, with Best In Show judges awarding prizes for the Best Dressed, Best Car and Best Vintage Trader. The show will also offer vintage-themed food and music including the Vintage Festival DJs.
Wayne Hemingway said: “Last year’s first ever Classic Car Boot Sale was a huge success and there’s something for everyone to enjoy – with classic vehicles trading the finest vintage items and London’s best street food on wheels. This year is only going to get bigger and better with a whole weekend at London’s Southbank Centre promising all manner of vintage fun”
Entry to The Classic Car Boot Sale is £4, and tickets can be purchased at Southbank Centre on the day of the event.
