College Exhibition: Elisava University Show 2005

Students from the Transportation Design Masters program at Spain's Elisava School of Design presented their work in the 2005 Degree Show entitled 'Real Transportation', held in October at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona.
This was the sixth edition of the Transportation Design Masters course. The projects by this year's students aimed to bring creative solutions to real transport issues, while taking into account aspects such as mobility, aerodynamics, environmental impact, ergonomics, legislation, materials, production, security, technology and aesthetic principles. The nine projects presented in 'Real Transportation' included:
Nico Alonso Lera
The Mitsubishi Dipo is a vehicle endowed with an urban character, four seats, a rear engine and great load capacity in spite of its reduced dimensions. Unusual but structured window shapes and graphic elements place it nearer product design than car design, while users can follow their taste and adapt the vehicle to any of their needs quickly and easily. The Dipo plays with materials and asymmetry that make it attractive to young people who look for a car which is different from the rest.
SEAT Leon GT
Israel Romero
The SEAT Leon GT is a competition car designed to create a new promotional series for SEAT. This vehicle is inspired by the new SEAT Le?n, but it has developed its own image, much more aggressive and technological, thanks to its more tense lines, which contrasts with SEAT's present organic language. The Leon GT has been conceived to stress SEAT's sporting identity and technological quality on the race track as well as on the road.
Volkswagen Adapta

The Volkswagen Adapta is the modern expression of a compact vehicle with lots of interior space, that appeals through sensual curves and simplicity. An innovative loading space lies underneath the vehicle that may be used as an ordinary trunk, but which has been specially designed to house the wheelchair of a disabled driver.
Senzai
David Torres, Ferran Esquius and Manel Seren
Based on the increasing time people are spending in their cars, this project reconsiders the car's interior space, as well as its way to communicate with its occupants. Inspired by Zhen gardens and Feng Shui, the Senzai has a harmonious interior which integrates both with its occupants and the exterior space, thus creating a relaxing atmosphere. Its lines are simple but dynamic at the same time, thus creating a spacious and multifunctional interior. Senzai aims to immerse stressed passengers into an oasis of senses, with an interior waterfall and the combination of textures and light.Continues...
