Dacia Duster (finally) gets a bit of a facelift for 2015 in the UK
Fri, 19 Sep 2014The Dacia Duster finally gets updated in the UK
A whole year ago, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013, the Dacia Duster Facelift was revealed. But that facelifted Duster was just for the European LHD market; the UK soldiered on with the old model. But now, a year on, the UK is finally getting a facelifted Duster which, more or less, seems to follow the lead of the European makeover.
That means a new chrome grill, roof bars, updated alloys on the top models along with body coloured door handles and dark metal mirrors. The interior gets new upholstery and seats with Hassium cloth for the Ambience and Rhodium cloth for the Laureate.
What the UK Duster doesn’t get is what could be the pick of the engine range, the 1.2 litre TCe turbo petrol with 125PS, but continues with a choice of either the 1.6 litre 105 PS petrol or 1.5 litre 107 PS diesel.
The Duster Access (which starts at £9,495) gets 16″ steel wheels, remote locking, electric front windows, Brake Assist, ESC and Traction control, the Ambience (from £11,995) versions add stuff like chrome door handles, Radio/CD, Bluetooth, Fogs and height adjustable drivers seat.
The range-topping Laureate gets 16″ alloys, AirCon, electric mirrors, electric rear windows, Cruise, Trip Computer, Scuff Plates and Side Sills.
Available as a four-wheel or two-wheel drive, the titivated Dacia Duster is now finally on sale, starting at £9,495 for the Duster Access 1.6 16V 105 4×2 rising to £15,495 for the Duster Lauréate dCi 110 4×4.
