Mon, 10 Sep 2012

Anne Asensio and a team of expert judges have chosen the three finalists of the Dassault Systèmes Design Challenge 2012.

23-year-old Riten Gojiya's project 'Third dimension tour' made the final list, with Josef Ludvík Böhm's 'Aktivní Robotická Ortéza' also making the cut. The judging panel was also very impressed with Jakub Novák's 'Pedalboat' entry, which was enough to secure the final spot in the top three.

The lucky three will be heading to a three-day workshop in Prague led by a experienced professional designer, a great way to hone their skills – especially with the CATIA Natural Sketch 3D software at their fingertips.

The scenario of the 2012 Design Challenge asked young designers to look into the near future of Prague, the Czech Republic, and its transportation challenges and by using objects or products present their vision of a modern European city and its inhabitants. Taking inspiration from the people of Prague and what the city looks like currently, the finalists' projects were chosen because our their simplicity, uniqueness, utility and aesthetic quality.
