As automotive design continues to evolve there has been something of a revolution in interior design in recent years. In light of this, the Interior Motives Design Awards 2004 theme, 'Our theory of evolution - Celebrate the design revolution!', aims to emphasize the importance of automotive design and how it has accelerated over the past decade, as well as encouraging young talented designers into this industry to promote the continuing evolution of interior and exterior design.
To reflect the increasing movement of designers across both the disciplines of exterior and interior design, this year the scope of the awards has been broadened to incorporate exterior design by adding two categories - best production exterior and best conceptual exterior.
The Interior Motives Design Awards 2004 is sponsored by Intier Automotive, Alcantara SpA, Corus Automotive Engineering, ICEM, Rieter Automotive Systems, Seton Leather, Technicon International Management Services, Volkswagen Group and Waeco International.
