Bohemian Rhapsody from a drunk in the back of a police car

A man arrested for being drunk and disorderly pleads his case in the back of a police car, but decided a word-perfect rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody is better.

We’ve all been there (well, we all have). A drink too many and your perspective on the world changes, and the world turns in to an unfair place. The guy in this video – which is racking up views on YouTube – certainly felt wronged when police officers arrested him for being drunk and disorderly.

“I have done nothing wrong and even the situation where you grabbed me has nothing to do with having been sort of intoxicated as you proclaim,” the 29-year old laments from the back seat of the police car. “What it has to do with is the brotherhood of man on the planet Earth.”

But his drunkenly eloquent defence falls on deaf ears, so he resorts to singing the arresting officers a word-perfect version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. “‘Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality” he asks from the back seat, before launching in to a full-length version of Bohemian Rhapsody – the whole 5 minutes plus of the original, no less.

The Canadian Mounties who arrested the guy even appear to wait when they arrive at the police station for the man to finish his rendition (if only they’d joined in). Did he get charged? We don’t know, but if he did the Bohemian Rhapsody defence must surely be a get out of jail free card?
