Edelbrock teams with Ohio Technical College to teach hot-rodders
Thu, 04 Nov 2010Many of today's prominent hot-rodders and car customizers talk about how they learned their craft working alongside a mentor, turning wrenches in a garage for hours on end.
Now, there's a school for that.
Noted tuning-parts maker Edelbrock LLC has teamed up with Ohio Technical College in Cleveland to create the Edelbrock Academy.
The curriculum is everything a gearhead could dream of--learning how to plan, install and tune modifications to the powertrains and suspensions. Students will gain expertise in intakes and exhausts, forced induction, nitrous, fuel injection and carburetors.
And the deal means that students will get hands-on experience with Edelbrock parts, along with testing and tuning on dynamometers. That should make for some interesting semester projects.
