Facelifted Lexus GX 460 gets price cut for 2014
Fri, 23 Aug 2013
Lexus has just released pricing for its refreshed GX 460 SUV, or LUV as Lexus likes to call it, for Luxury Utility Vehicle. The most noticeable change on the outside is the updated corporate fascia in the form of the Lexus spindle grille, though the freshened GX 460 also gets LED headlights, along with daytime running lights and available LED fog lights. More importantly, the GX 460 will get a $4,710 price cut.
The GX 460 will now be available in two trim levels, standard and luxury. The new GX 460 in standard trim will now start at $49,995, including destination, though a quick scan through the options book is sure to send that price north pretty quickly. On the inside, the GX 460 gets a new 8-inch touchscreen display for the audio system, a backup camera, HD Radio, Bluetooth connectivity, automatic phone book transfer, and traffic and weather as part of HD Radio. In terms of options, the 2014 GX will also offer a blind-spot monitor with a rear cross-traffic alert system.

The interior gets a few new items, like a larger screen, and perforated leather in the Luxury model
The GX 460 in luxury trim will start at $61,625 with destination, and will include navigation, adaptable air suspension, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, intuitive parking assist and 18-inch alloy wheels. The luxury model will also offer advanced pre-collision with a driver monitor as an option.
The premium package for the 2014 model year will consist of a perforated leather interior, heated outboard rear seats, intuitive parking assist, three-zone climate control and a navigation system with a backup monitor.
The 301-hp 4.6-liter V8 stays on in both base and luxury trim levels, channeled to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Both the base and luxury models return 15 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway.
