Family Favourite Gets A Refresh
Mon, 24 Feb 2014FORD has taken the wraps off its refreshed Focus. The car, which remains a firm favourite with both private buyers and business users, gains a more distinctive nose and a technology boost.
Expected to hit the showrooms later this year, the Focus adopts Ford’s new exterior nose treatment – a version of which has already been adapted for the recently refreshed Fiesta supermini.
Inside the Focus the cabin has been overhauled to incorporate Ford’s latest generation infotainment system. The result is fewer buttons and a less cluttered appearance.
Improved voice control for the major audio, communication and navigation functions are also being promoted, alongside an enhanced version of Ford’s City Stop urban auto braking mode and a new hands-free parking system.
There have also been changes under the bonnet, as the revised car will be shipped with an updated engine range. Highlights include new 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines offering lower CO2 and fuel consumption figures.
