The Ferrari FXX and 599XX can be bought for oodles of cash--except you can't take them home when you leave the dealership.
Ferrari's Corse Cliente program allows well-to-do owners a chance to help in the development of new sports cars. Several times per year owners are allowed to drive their FXXs and 599XXs on some of the most famous tracks in the world.
After the opening round of the European Ferrari Challenge at the Monza circuit, Corse Cliente participants took to the track with instructors, engineers and higher-ups from Ferrari.
The day started with a presentation of the Evolution package that Ferrari offers for the 599XX--a car that isn't allowed on the street or the racetrack--followed by five racing sessions. That was followed by a debriefing that lets drivers know where they improved and where they need more practice.
The next event is scheduled for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California during the Monterey weekend. If you can't be there, check out the photo gallery above, and keep pinching those pennies--the FXX reportedly costs about $2.1 million.
