Ferrari F70 caught on video
Thu, 16 Aug 2012The new Enzo – the Ferrari F70 – has been caught on video around Marenello as Ferrari prepare to debut it at the Paris Motor Show.
With the Paris Motor Show looming in just over a month, Ferrari are planning their biggest reveal in almost a decade, the replacement for the Enzo supercar – the Ferrari F70.
The F70 will be getting a more powerful version of the V12 under the bonnet of the new F12 together with a KERS hybrid attached for a total output of over 900bhp.
That 900bhp plus should make the F70 the quickest road car Ferrari has ever built, especially as the weight of the F70 is expected to be around 1200kg; quicker acceleration that the Veyron looks to be on the cards.
How many F70s will be built – or what the price of the new Ferrari F70 will be – we’re going to have to wait for Paris to find out. But with more people in the world capable of buying a hypercar than ever before, it seems likely there will be more than the 400 Enzos on offer. As for price, heading towards €1 million including tax is quite likely.
Which will make the Ferrari F70 the star turn at the Paris Motor Show – unless the new McLaren F1 is there too.
