Ferrari Racing Days back at Silverstone
Thu, 10 May 2012Ferrari Race Day Silverstone
After an absence of 5 years Silverstone is hosting Ferrari Racing days this September, including a Guinness World Record attempt.
The last time there were Ferrari Racing days at Silverstone was 2007, so Ferrari fans will be delighted to learn that Ferrari are back at Silverstone in September for all kinds of Maranello goodness.
There’ll be the chance to see a host of on-track stuff including F1 Clienti, FXX, 599XX, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and the Ferrari Club Challenge – the only place in Europe you’ll be able to see all that in Europe this year.
As if that’s not enough to keep Ferrari fans happy, Ferrari North Europe are also trying to regain their lost Guinness World Record crown.
Back at the last Silverstone meet in 2007 they set the world record for the largest parade of Ferraris with 385 cars parading round Silverstone.
Unfortunately for FNE they lost that prize a year later when the Japanese managed to get 490 cars at the Fuji Speedway, so the shout is out for anyone with a Ferrari – in the UK or just visiting – to turn up and parade.
Ferrari are making a donation of £5 to BEN (the automotive industry’s own charity) for every Ferrari taking part in the parade.
Sadly, the Ferrari Race Days at Silverstone are the same weekend – 15th-16th September 2012 – as the Goodwood Revival. Mind you, at £15 for a weekend ticket it’s a great deal cheaper than Goodwood.
You pays your money and you takes your choice.
