Fiat 500 Colour Therapy added to UK 500 range
Fri, 10 Aug 2012Fiat has added the 500 Colour Therapy – a retro-look Fiat 500 – to the model range in the UK.
The Fiat 500 belongs to the same school of marketing as the MINI, so a new trim range to cash in on its ‘Homage to an Icon’ status seems an obvious route to garner a few more sales for the very likeable 500.
Which is why the UK is getting the Fiat 500 Colour Therapy, a new model range that sits in the 500 line-up between the Pop and Lounge trim levels and comes in five retro-inspired colours - New Age Cream, Countrypolitan Yellow, Pasodoble Red, Volare Blue, and Tech House Grey.
Fiat say the 500 Colour Therapy has been designed to bring back the the spirit of the 1970s with its retro colours and white detailing. Is that a good thing?
Available with the 0.9 litre TwinAir (fabulous fun) or the 1.2 petrol, you can have the 500 Colour Therapy as a hatchback or convertible and gets AirCon, white mirror covers, white wheel covers, a ‘poolball’ gear knob – a total of £1k of extra kit for ‘just’ £800 extra. Sounds like a bargain.
The Fiat 500 Colour Therapy kicks off at £10,750 for the 1.2, rising to £14,510 for the 500C Colour Therapy TwinAir.
