Fiat Panda Cross wins top 4×4 Award
Fri, 28 Nov 2008The Fiat Panda Cross, that mirculous little go-anywhere 4×4, which only came to the UK a few months ago, has won the Top 4×4 Award from 4×4 and MPV Driver Magazine. Well done!
Amazingly, the judges put the little Fiat at the top of the pile, praising its affordability and off-road ability, and highlighting the cracking little 1.3 turbo diesel engine which makes this car shine.
Fiat Panda Cross - Best 4x4
Offering a pretty good basic spec – which includes air conditioning, ESP, electric power steering’ and radio and MP3-compatible CD – the little Fiat even manages to offer relatively quiet and stress free cruising, as well as its ability to plug the mud with the best of them.
Unfortunately, you don’t get a great deal of colour choice. You can choose between orange, beige and black and, joy of joys, the new green! How exciting.
In these economy-focused times, we shouldn’t be at all surprised that the judges picked the cheapest, and most economical car of the group. But to be fair to the Fiat, it is an astonishingly capable car, if not to everyone’s taste. And at under £12k in the UK, the Fiat Panda Cross is the cheapest 4×4 by far!
