Ford C-Max & Grand-C-Max (2011) – UK prices
Mon, 06 Sep 2010UK price and specs for the Ford C-Max & Grand C-Max Prices
We never fail to be surprised by how long it can take from the reveal of a new car until that car starts to hit showrooms.
In the case of the 2011 Ford C-Max and the 2011 Ford Grand C-Max it is almost exactly a year since Ford unwrapped what will be the first Ford to use the Global C-Segment platform – which will also underpin the 2011 Ford Focus and the next generation Ford Kuga – at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Having finally got the C-Max to the UK, we’re pleased to see that instead of foisting endless trim specifications levels on to buyers Ford has decied to keep it simple with just two options on the C-Max and the Grand C-Max – either Zetec or Titanium. Beyond that it will mean recourse to the options list.
The five-seater C-Max kicks off at £16,745 for the C-Max 1.6 TI-VCT which offers 104bhp from its petrol lump and comes equipped with alloys, AirCon, DAB radio and Bluetooth. Top of the tree will be the Grand C-Max 2.0 TDCi (Powershift Auto) Titanium at £23,245.
The Titanium trim adds goodies like Climate, high-end Sony audio, auto lights and wipers, keyless start and hill launch assist. The Grand C-Max Titanium also gets power folding mirrors.
Overall there is a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines. Petrol choice is the 1.6 TI-VCT with either 104bhp or 123bhp or the 1.6 Ecoboost with a healthier sounding 148bhp. Diesel choice is between the 1.6 TDCi with 113bhp or the 2.0 TDCi with 138bhp.
Both the C-Max and the Grand C-Max are on sale from October.
