Free Regent Street Motor Show to showcase past, present and future

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

A GLORIOUS MIX of old and new will descend on the capital in early November as the Regent Street Motor Show returns.

On Saturday 2nd November Regent Street closes to traffic from Piccadilly Circus to Oxford Circus, allowing over 300 cars to go on display in a free show for the public.

The display will include as many as 100 pre-1905 veteran vehicles which will compete in the EFG International Concours d’Elegance and then take on the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run the following day - the oldest competitive driving event in the world.

In contrast the Regent Street Motor Show will also have on display the latest offerings from a host of manufacturers, from the latest supercar to the greenest new eco-machine.

BMW will be bringing along its radical i3 electric car as well as the ever-popular Mini and the brand-new 4 Series Coupe, while Renault will have a dual zero-emission offering in the shape of its Zoe and Twizy models.

Both Porsche and Aston Martin will have celebratory displays as the German firm honours the 50th anniversary of the first 911 sports car while the iconic British firm celebrates its centenary year.
