Geneva Show 2014: All Change For Renault’s Twingo
Tue, 04 Mar 2014FRENCH car maker Renault is set to shake up the city car market with the third generation of its Twingo model.
In a bold move, this latest Twingo adopts a rear engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Engineers believe such a plan affords the car more cabin space and, potentially, a more engaging driving experience.
Styled to compliment the recently launched Clio supermini and Captur mini SUV, the Twingo is a product of a partnership with Mercedes. The German luxury firm will produce a new ForFour and Fortwo from the Twingo platform.
Powering the Twingo will be a selection of three-cylinder engines. As yet there’s no word on pricing or specification.
