Geneva Show 2014: City Car Trio Get A Makeover
Tue, 04 Mar 2014IT’S all change at Peugeot, Citroen and Toyota as the trio of manufacturers have simultaneously launched new versions of their popular city cars.
The 108, C1 and Aygo respectively have been moved upmarket with higher quality cabins and an exterior design revamp.
Keen to keep pace with the likes of Volkswagen’s acclaimed up!, all three car makers have decided to boost cabin ambience, kit and quality.
Peugeot’s offering has clearly been influenced by the recently launched and well received 308, while Toyota’s Aygo sports a particularly dramatic nose. Citroen’s C1 displays styling cues borrowed from the C4 Picasso MPV and radical new C4 Cactus.
Improved engines and a higher level of onboard entertainment technology feature across the three brands’ cars.
