Gibbs begins production of Quadski amphibious ATV

During our test of the Gibbs Quadski, a high-speed amphibious ATV manufactured by Gibbs Sports Amphibians Inc., representatives stated that the first production vehicles would be ready for sale by mid-November.

The company seems to have made good on that promise. According to a statement, the first production Quadskis were completed earlier today at an Auburn Hills, Mich., factory. These units are part of a 1,000-vehicle run that will be constructed over the next year.

Early buyers will pay $40,000 to get on their own high-speed amphibian. Initially, sales will be handled through existing powersports-equipment dealers. The Great Lakes, Gulf Coast, Midwest and the eastern United States will be the first to get access to the Quadski, with the rest of the United States to follow.
