Goodwood Revival Sold Out – but there’s a few ‘Turn up & Hope’ tickets left for tomorrow
Thu, 15 Sep 2011Goodwood Revival 2011 Sold Out
We always say the Goodwood Festival of Speed is just about the best event of the year; diverse, interesting and fun – even for the non-petrolhead.
But the Goodwood Revival – which starts tomorrow and goes on over the weekend – is a really fun motoring nostalgia-fest of fun and frolics, costumes and stalls, cars and racing. And on-petrolheads love it even more than the FoS.
This year there’s the usual mix of Ladies Day, racing, Revival Car Show, Revival Market and Revival High Street and seemingly everyone dressed in 1940s, 1950s and 1960s period clothing.
It’s a real cornucopia of plane and automobiles including a record number of pre-1966 Aircraft on display, action on the Goodwood Circuit, and there are even ‘Trains’ on display, even if they are of the bridal sort, as a gaggle of Goodwood’s GAG Actors play out walking down the aisle in full period wedding dress at the ‘St. Charles Chapel of Love.
If it all sounds like a riot – and it is – then you’re almost out of luck as all the weekend’s tickets are gone. But there are just a few tickets left for tomorrow (Friday 16th) race practice, strictly on a first come, first served basis.
But they won’t last long.
