Mon, 17 Mar 2014MITSUBISHI in the UK has set out its plans to celebrate a landmark anniversary, as it’s 40 years since the company started importing cars. To mark the occasion the firm is organising a tour for 60 vehicles manufactured before 2001, taking place on Saturday 31st May.
The tour will start and finishes at Rendcomb Airfield in Gloucestershire. This historic venue is located just a few miles north of Mitsubishi’s Cirencester base.
The day will begin with the first car being flagged away by TV’s Mike Brewer at 9.30am. The day’s 120-mile route will take entrants through the heart of the Cotswolds, into Oxfordshire and then Northamptonshire and a lunch stop at the Silverstone race circuit.
On leaving Silverstone, the route heads south to Oxfordshire for a visit to Cornbury Park. The final leg of the journey sees participants returning to Rendcomb Airfield.
Mitsubishi will also be looking out for the best vehicles on the day, split into categories such as oldest vehicle, best presented 4x4 and best overall entry.
To qualify, a vehicle must have been officially imported between 1974 and 2001. Interested participants can find full details, terms and conditions on the Mitsubishi Motors in the UK website: www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/gt.
