Here's your chance to save a few lives
Mon, 19 Apr 2010It's time to rally the troops, folks. And if you need any impetus, think about this: We're coming up on prom season, when stupid is as stupid does far too often, especially behind the wheel.
We refer to teenage driving instruction.
Now is a time to reaffirm with your young sons and daughters that with the flowering of trees, the end of the school year and the advent of summer jobs, it's more important now than ever to make sure they pay attention to the road and the traffic ahead.
We've talked about a number of companies whose goal is to keep kids safe. One of them, Survive the Drive, has been teaching kids in big numbers and wants to continue to do so. In the past year, it has made presentations to 10,000 students, and if these people can positively affect one of those lives, they've done a bunch.
Now it's time to help them help our kids. The folks at SurvivetheDrive.org have put in for a grant from the Pepsi Co. organization. If you vote for their cause--teenage driver training--they might just win $50,000 to keep that momentum going.
Think you can take a few minutes out of your Internet surfing to help? Sure you can! Just click on this link, www.refresheverything.com/survivethedrive, early and often (you can vote each day).
Maybe you will help save a life.
