Hertz adds Corvette Stingray, Jaguar XJL to fleet

Hertz Rent-a-Car is adding to its Dream Car Collection and its Adrenaline Collection for drivers who want a little more fun from their rentals. It will now offer a Corvette Stingray Hertz Edition and a Jaguar XJL in select locations.
This effort builds on the company's history of providing more than the average Camry. It brought us the Shelby Mustang GT-H in 1966 with its Rent-a-Racer program and again 40 years later with a new Mustang model. Just last year it also introduced the Hertz Penske GT, another variant of the Mustang.
The Adrenaline Collection includes mostly muscle cars like the Ford Mustang GT, Camaro SS and Challenger R/T, while the Dream Car Collection includes exotics like Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
The Jaguar XJL gets the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 making 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. That's good for a sprint time of 5.7 seconds. Rentals start at $335 per day, which includes 75 miles. The XJL is available in Miami, Orlando, Fla., Chicago, NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Denver, Honolulu and a few other select locations.
The Stingray Hertz edition, in velocity yellow or blade silver, starts at only $250 per day and comes with a 6.2-liter V8 making 460 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. All get a black hood stripe and a black leather interior. This car gets to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.
The Hertz Corvette is available in Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego and a few other spots.
