Holden Commodore
Fri, 28 Jul 2006This is the all-new Holden Commodore, a car that GM will hope continue its decade-long position at the top of the sales charts in Australia. First introduced there in 1978, 2.4 million units have since been built, and this latest VE Commodore also marks the first $1billion car program in the country.
The more European design brings about a longer wheelbase for a stronger stance and a more defined body-side. It will be available with two versions of the 3.6-liter V6, and a new 6.0-liter V8, in two different guises: the sporting SS and the comfort-biased Calais. Sales of the Commodore begin next month.
