Honda Civic Ti launches
Wed, 16 Feb 2011Honda Civic Ti - the bargain of the week.
We seem to have run endless stories on limited edtion cars designed to get footfall in showrooms, all caliming to offer something extra for not much more.
But the Honda Civic Ti seems to take the prize for the most extra kit for the least extra money. As far as we can work out, despite £3,700 of extra kit the Civic Ti cost over £300 less than the Honda Civic on which it’s based. Wow.
The Honda Civic Ti comes in two engine flavours – 1.4 or 1.8 i-VTEC – and is based on the SE trim. In addition, it gets a British Touring Car Championship racer style makeover with matt black 17″ ‘Pro-Race’ wheels from Team Dynamics (one of Honda’s BTCC racing partners ) matched to Crystal Black GP Body Kit which consists of side skirts, rear apron and front spoiler.
The paint job comes as Premium White Pearl which contrasts with the black wheels and body kit and there are extra toys too – a standard Pioneer SatNav/Multimeedia setup with a 3D graphic touchscreen.
Honda are offering just 500 Civic Tis in the UK with prices starting at £15,995 for the 1.4 i-VTEC Ti and £16,995 for the 1.8 iVTEC. The Civic 1.8 iVTEC by comparison lists at £17,350.
As the Americans say: You do the math.
