Honda Civic concept
Thu, 13 Jan 2011Detroit saw Honda debut two variants of its next generation Civic. Set to make their debuts in the North American market in the spring, the cars sport tighter, more aggressive styling with 'clean-yet-powerful' lines, according to the Japanese automaker.
Taking inspiration from its sibling, the Accord Coupe, the Civic Coupe will retain the familiar silhouette of the outgoing model, with a refreshed bumper treatment and more aggressive character lines around the car. The sedan variant will also retain the familiar silhouette of the outgoing model, again sporting a revised DRG that takes in a more menacing headlight and grille arrangement. The rear of the sedan sees a revised deck and rear clusters to complete the freshen up.
However, the biggest refresh for the Civic range will come in the form of their interiors. Honda states that the cars will feature completely new interiors that are vastly improved over the existing model and will help the next generation to be "the best Civic yet," according to John Mendel, executive vice president of sales for American Honda.
