Honda continues with winning formula for CR-V
Fri, 31 Aug 2012
Honda published the details of the 2013 CR-V small SUV on Friday. It was revamped last year so it basically carries on with minor changes.
The CR-V is among the best-selling SUVs in America and will get more than 30 mpg on the highway from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed transmission is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. Fuel mileage is rated at 23 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. The all-wheel-drive version gets slightly fewer.
Three trim lines continue from last year. The base LX comes with 16-inch wheels, a 160-watt stereo and an expanded-view driver's mirror that adds 5.5 degrees of visibility. The EX trim adds a better radio, power moonroof and 17-inch wheels. The top L trim gets a powerhouse 328-watt stereo, navigation and leather seating. All-wheel drive is an option on all trims.
The 2013 Honda CR-V goes on sale Sept. 6 with a $23,525 base price, which includes $830 in destination charges.
