Hyundai recalls 2011 Sonatas for steering fix

Hyundai will recall about 139,500 versions of the 2011 Sonata in the United States for steering issues that could cause a loss of turning capabilities, according to Bloomberg News.

Hyundai said there were fewer then 10 Sonatas, built between Dec. 11, 2009, and Sept. 10, 2010, with the problem and no accidents or injuries have occurred.

Dealers will inspect the steering column for proper assembly, and they will update the power steering software free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in October.
