Illinois man wins two Mustangs
Wed, 27 Jul 2011
Thomas Barker, a 24-year-old Illinois resident, has two new Ford Mustangs for his garage.
Barker is the winner of the 2011 Mustang Dream Giveaway, taking home a one-of-a-kind 2012 Ford Mustang Patriot Edition Boss 302 and a completely restored 1969 Mustang Boss 302.
Only one copy of the 2012 Mustang Patriot Edition was produced. The 1969 Mustang Boss 302 is one of only 46 built. It has a four-speed manual transmission and coral paint and is signed by Parnelli Jones.
The 2011 Mustang Dream Giveaway involved the sale of raffle tickets, with proceeds benefiting the Healing Heroes Network, a nonprofit charity that promotes mental and physical rehabilitation for wounded members of the armed forces returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Those who missed out on the Mustang sweepstakes can enter a similar sweepstakes at www.winthevettes.com for the Corvette Dream Giveaway--which will award a 1963 split-window coupe and a 2011 Hero Edition ZR1--and at www.wintheporsches.com for the Porsche Dream Giveaway, which has a 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition GT3 and a 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid as prizes.
