Jaguar F-Type fleet in Union Jack livery promote ‘Best of British’

It all started with Top Gear’s ‘Best of British’ line-up of all things British Automotive on the Mall back in June, which aired a week ago as the finale to Series 20 of Top Gear. That piece was put together on the back of Top Gear’s testing of the new Range Rover Sport and the new Jaguar F-Type, with Top Gear managing to drag all manner of motorised vehicles to the Mall to celebrate proper British success.
With the Jaguar F-Types sitting proudly at the front of the assembled ‘Best of British’, Jaguar’s PR machine wisely decided there was mileage in the whole ‘Best of British’ thing, so they’ve launched a competition with the hashtag #YourTurnBritain.
To take part all you need do is take a photo or video that captures you vision of the best of modern Britain and upload it to Jaguar’s Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr ot Instagram page with the tag #YourTurnBritain for the chance to win an ‘F-Type Weekend Experience’.
So far, the #YourTurnBritain competition has attracted more than 250k social interactions and more than 2k actual entries, and to keep the momentum going the F-Types with Union Jack paintwork are travelling the UK from London and on to Leeds and Newcastle (12th), Edinburgh and Glasgow (13th), Manchester and Liverpool (14th), Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham (15th) Cardiff, Bristol and Oxford (16th).
Jaguar has enlisted a variety of ‘celeb’ ambassadors – including Jamie Campbell Bower, Alice Temperley, MistaJam, Graeme Swann and Jimmy Anderson – as part of the PR drive, and if you want to take part you can use the Facebook App or pop over to Jaguar’s ‘Your Turn Britain‘page to see a selection of the submissions so far.
It’s all a good bit of PR for the F-Type by tapping in to Top Gear’s Best of British fanfare that seemed to resonate with viewers when it aired.
