Jaguar F-Type price & performance revealed

We’re still a few days away from the debut of the Jaguar F-Type at Paris 2012, but prices and performance for the F-Type are already revealed.

Yet another in the series of stories with leaks on the new Jaguar F-Type continues with the revelation of European prices for Jaguar’s new sports car.

Following on from the first leak of a single F-Type photo and this morning’s full F-Type photo gallery, Auto Bild are now reporting European prices for Jaguar’s baby roadster.

The entry level Jaguar F-Type with the 340PS engine gets a list price in Germany of €73,400, the F-Type S with the 380PS engine costs €84,900 and the range-topping V8 S will come in at €99,900.

That makes the entry point for F-Type goodness (assuming a straight exchange rate conversion) of about £58k for the F-Type, £67k for the V6 S and a whopping £80k for the V8 S.

Autobild are also reporting that the V8 S will come with 495PS and that the performance figures are pretty decent, with the V6 340PS taking 5.3 seconds to 62mph and the V8 S just 4.3 seconds.

No doubt Jaguar will turn up with official figures shortly.
