Jaguar’s XF Coupe Revealed
Tue, 25 Nov 2008Not since the Jaguar XJ came out in the late 60s, when I was but a slip of a lad, have I fallen in love with a Jaguar. But now, thanks to the renderings released today by Auto Express, I have once again.
The image you see here is the Jaguar XF Coupe, the beautiful 2-door version of the XF Saloon, which Jaguar plan on launching in 2010.
The 2010 Jaguar XF Coupe
Aimed fair and square at the likes of Audi, BMW and Mercedes, this car must be a run-away success. Just look at it!
Planned with a variety of engines – from a 3.0 Diesel to the 500bhp lump from the forthcoming XFR – you can expect to see both the coupe and Roadster on the roads by 2010, and a 2-seater, shortened wheelbase version the year later.
If this is what the Indians can do when they run a car company, the sooner world car production ends up in the sub-continent, the better (although, to be fair, the design is derived from Ian Callum’s original concept for the XF)!
Still, it’s Tata who has the balls to bring this to the market. Well done them.
