Jeep previews Wrangler and Cherokee Easter Jeep Safari concepts
Wed, 02 Apr 2014
Jeep has just released the first teaser images of the Cherokee Dakar and Wrangler Mojo concepts, prior to their debut at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.
The Wrangler Mojo features an orange and black exterior with a redesigned front bumper, a blacked-out front fascia and high profile off-road wheels that are just the thing for traveling around the rock formations of Moab. No details just yet on how Jeep has tricked out the interior of this one, though we expect it'll carry on the orange exterior and black design theme.
The details of the Cherokee Dakar concept is a bit hard to make out in this teaser shot, though it appears that Jeep has redesigned the wheelarches for high-profile off-road tires, in addition to tinkering with the ride height and the front and rear bumpers. Jeep also appears to have incorporated tow hooks to the redesigned front and rear fascia, not unexpected for a rock-climbing concept car. For this concept, Jeep has also added red accents to the frame of the greenhouse, with the red accent theme continuing to the custom off-road five-spoke wheels.

The Cherokee Dakar concept is just one of a handful of concepts that Jeep is expected to unveil in Moab.
Last year Jeep unveiled a total of six concepts at the annual Easter Jeep Safari, including the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, the Wrangler Stitch, the Wrangler Mopar Recon, and others. In previous years, Jeep has also shown the Jeep Forward Control, which we desperately wanted to see as a production truck, but understand why Jeep may be a little reluctant to commit to such a project (frontal crash performance may be tricky to achieve). But we'll settle for the return of the Gladiator.
Jeep is set to unveil both concepts at the Easter Jeep Safari, taking place in Moab, Utah from April 12-20.
