Lamborghini Veneno roadster leaked in pictures

The insane Lamborghini Veneno has spawned a roadster version, if Internet rumors and pictures are to be believed. Rumors of the roadster surfaced back in July, when CEO Stephan Winkelmann told Car and Driver that a convertible Veneno will be produced and sold at price near $4.5 million. We're hearing that it may actually carry a price tag of around $5.3 million.
The topless supercar should be nearly identical to the hard top in specs. That means a 6.5-liter V12 making about 750 hp. Lamborghini claimed the roadster will sprint to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 220 mph. Like the hard top, an ISR automated manual transmission sends power to all four wheels.
The carbon fiber body of the Veneno roadster will help with a dry weight of just 3,278 pounds, putting the power-to-weight ratio at 4.38 pounds per horse.
The Veneno debuted at the Geneva auto show in March to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. It takes its name from a famous bull that allegedly killed an elite matador in 1914. It also means “poison” in Spanish. Only four were produced, but nine roadsters will eventually be made.
