A show-off driver of a Lamborghini Gallardo gets his comeuppance after losing control as he takes off from traffic lights.

You won’t be surprised to learn that we have no problem with drivers of supercars; in our book, if you can afford it then enjoy it.

But there is little on the road that’s more irritating than a flash prat in a car they clearly can’t handle, so we just couldn’t resist running this video taken in a quiet Chicago suburb.

The driver of the yellow Lamborghini Gallardo sits at the front of a queue of traffic at a set of traffic lights, intermittently revving his V10 in a ‘Look at me – I’m a prat’ fashion.

The passengers in the car behind are filming his antics, expecting him to take off in a hurry as soon as the lights turn green. Which he does, but he obviously left his talent at home.

Instead of disappearing in to the distance the Lamborghini driver gives the beans as he turns left, loses control and ends up jammed between two cars waiting at the lights off to his left.

Incredibly, it seems no damage was done apart from to the pride of the Lamborghini driver, especially as the admiration of his car by those filming his antics rapidly turned to hilarity as he came a cropper.

There is a God.
