Land Rover triggers rumours of ‘Landy’ SUV
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Jaguar Land Rover has trademarked the name ‘Landy’, sparking more rumours of a smaller urban SUV based on the Evoque.
The new model could possibly feature styling similar to the DC100 concept, and will be a rival to the likes of the BMW X1 and upcoming Audi Q1.

The trademark application was made in December, reports Autocar, and will cover everything from vehicles to accessories and even franchising for dealerships.
JLR hasn’t confirmed the rumours, but has admitted that such a car is being considered.
It’ll be another move for Land Rover away from traditional off roaders to more desirable front-wheel-drive SUVs – most likely powered by small, efficient engines.
