Lexus LF-NX concept
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Lexus' LF-NX mid-size crossover concept, which debuts next week in Frankfurt, explores the possibility of a future model in the carmaker's range that would take on the Range Rover Evoque and Audi Q3.
The concept previews another evolution of the ‘L-finesse' design language and features angular design and a front that's dominated by the huge spindle grille as well as Lexus' signature front light arrangement. Like the Lexus IS, the arrow-shaped DRLs are separated from the headlamps, while the front corners separate the bumper from the front wings with a sharp vertical line.
There's certainly lots going on here, much of which we'll reserve judgement on until we've seen it in Frankfurt.
The inside features carved metal surfacing, blue instrument lighting and yellow and black leather upholstery. The dashboard is split into an upper display area and a lower operation area, an arrangement that's evolved from previous models. It also includes touch-sensitive electrostatic switches and a new touchpad Remote Touch Interface.
This is sure to be one of the talking points at next week's show.
