An advert for Lotus isn’t something you see every day. An advert destined for TV or cinema is even rarer. So when this Lotus Evora VT  dropped in to our Inbox this morning we thought you’d like a look.

We’ve all done it. Turned up to collect the car late at night to find the multi-storey all but empty. And when that happens, who can resist…?

Which is the simple premise of this video. Gallant gent runs to collect Evora to save ‘she-who-must’ getting soggy in the downpour. Discovers empty car park and plays – a little – before picking up the light of his life – who then demands to drive (What? Neither of them had a drink?)

We’ve not seen this VT before, and it is nicely done. There seems to be no CGI and it’s not about daft hooning – it’s just what you’d do if the opportunity arose. And the Evora is a perfect car in which to play in this way.

We have no idea if the Evora advert is part of a campaign centered around the improvements planned for the Evora’s interior, or whether it’s Lotus proving they can produce a video for a real car, and without CGI.
