Lotus Exige Scura revealed

Lotus has revealed a limited edition Exige S - the Scura / Stealth

Based on the Lotus Exige, the Scura manages to coax an extra 40bhp from its 1.8 litre Toyota supercharged engine, offering 260 of Hethel’s finest horses to play with. That will see the Scura get to 60mph in 4 seconds and break 10 seconds to 100mph. Top speed is 152mph. And it’ll average 33mpg.

The Scura gets a matt black paint job and liberal doses of carbon fibre to knock 10kg off the weight of the already light Exige (OK, 22lbs is only a good lunch – but every little helps), and is used in the seats, centre console and front splitter. Lotus has also coated all the interior carbon fibre in a high gloss. Other goodies on the Scura include launch control, variable slip traction control and adjustable dampers.

The Exige Scura is going on sale straight after its reveal in Japan this week, but only 35 are being made. Price in the UK is £45,000. All the gen in the Lotus Exige Scura Press Release.
