MINI at the Detroit Motor Show – Video trailer
Fri, 08 Jan 2010The MINI Beachcoimber will be one of the stars of the NAIAS
Next week sees the start of the 2010 Detroit Motor Show – the first big Motor Show of the season. And there will be lots of new stuff – and some not so new – and maybe even a surprise or two we don’t yet know about.
So the teases are now starting in earnest for the NAIAS and MINI has put together a video trailer for the goodies it’s planning on bringing to the party.
MINI being MINI there are plenty of things to shove in to a trailer video as they seem intent on rolling out a ‘New’ MINI on a monthly basis. but the trailer focuses on three MINIs – The MINI E, MINI Beachcomber and MINI JCW.
Of the three the MINI Beachcomber is the most interesting as it gives us the first real idea of what the upcoming MINI Countryman / Crossman will be like. There doesn’t seem to be any real intent to put the Beachcomber in to production (although with MINI anything is possible) but if you mentally add in a door or threee and a roof you’re probably getting close to the MINI Countryman.
The MINI JCW isn’t exactly news and nor, I suppose, is the MINI E. In fact it’s hard to consider the MINI E as anything other than a cheap test-bed for BMW’s electric drivetrain tech which is being used to get Joe Public to pay to shake it out.
Still, a decent effort on the video.
