McLaren tease new F1 / P12 in video

The new McLaren F1 (P12) is being teased again, this time in a new video McLaren are calling ‘McLaren vs Aerodynamics.

The new McLaren F1 (codenamed P12, but likely to be called almost anything) has been coming for a while. But now it’s almost here.

We reported a couple of months ago on the likely specs for the new P12 (and a false dawn for official details a few days ago when we reported a spoof article) and McLaren has even been teasing the P12 ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show.

But the one tease image from McLaren so far has now been built on with a new teaser video from Woking – which they’ve called McLaren vs Aerodynamics – which is an animated version of the teaser photo they’ve already released.

So apart from the likely 800bhp from the V8 and another 200bhp from a KERS boost, this video looks like it’s confirming McLaren’s use of active aerodynamics on the P12 to keep all that power in check.

Will we get more on the new McLaren F1 / P12 before Paris? Your guess is as good as ours – but don’t bet against it.
