Memorial service for former GM design boss Chuck Jordan is Friday

A memorial service for Chuck Jordan, design chief at General Motors from 1986 to 1992, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at the GM Heritage Center in suburban Detroit.

Jordan died on Dec. 9 at age 83.

Donations are being accepted for a design scholarship that Jordan's family has established in his name. Checks, made payable to the College for Creative Studies, should mention the Charles M. Jordan Scholarship in the note section. They may be mailed to Liz Klos, College for Creative Studies, 201 E. Kirby, Detroit, MI 48202. The memorial service is open to friends, family and colleagues only. The GM Heritage Center is located at 6400 Center Road in Sterling Heights, Mich.
