Mini Clubvan concept
Mon, 20 Feb 2012The 2012 Geneva motor show will see Mini further expand its brand with a new commercial model. The Clubvan concept is essentially a panel van variant of the Clubman wagon, pitched at premium small business as an up-market alternative to the traditional city van.
The Clubvan retains the Clubman's asymmetrical body shell, complete with double rear doors and the small 'club door' on the right-hand side of the car. The only external difference is the replacement of the rear side windows with polycarbonate panels. Internally the van loses the rear seats and gains an aluminum bulkhead behind the front seats. The aforementioned secondary side door provides an extra access point to the rear cargo section, whilst a completely flat floor boosts load space beyond the Clubman equivalent.
Presented in classic British Racing Green, the Geneva showcar also boasts traditional signwriten livery, created by UK-based company Hugh Buckingham Signwritters, to highlight the scope for personalization of the van.
