In the latest round of Euro NCAP tests the new BMW 3-Series, Mazda CX-5 and Peugeot 208 have all achieved a five star rating.
Yesterday we jumped in early with the news that the new Hyundai i30 had achieved a 5 Star Euro NCAP Rating in the latest round of NCAP test. But it wasn’t alone.
In fact three other cars – the New BMW 3-Series, Mazda CX-5 and Peugeot 208 – all received the same 5 Star rating.
The new 3 Series romped home with a 95 per cent rating for adults, 84 per cent for children, 78 per cent for pedestrians and 86 per cent for safety assist.
The Mazda CX-5 got 94 per cent rating for adults, 87 per cent for children, 64 per cent for pedestrians and 86 per cent for safety assist with the Peugeot 208 brought up the rear – but still managed 5 Stars – with 88 per cent rating for adults, 78 per cent for children, 61 per cent for pedestrians and 83 per cent for safety assist.
The ever growing list of cars that manage a five star Euro NCAP rating is starting to make Volvo’s aim of no serious injuries or deaths in a new Volvo by 2020 as very achievable. Which is very good news.
Unless we all start to drive as if we are immortal.
