Jaguar’s big hope for breaking in to the compact premium sector – the Jaguar XE – and taking on the might of the German premium brands will debut in public at next month’s Paris Motor Show. But actually, it’ll get a bit of an airing before that. As part of Jaguar’s #FeelXE publicity campaign, they’ve enlisted the help of fashion designer Stella McCartney to get the new XE out and about in Paris before the Motor Show debut.
Stella has taken her Superhero print design from her spring collection (no, we didn’t know either) and adorned the new XE with it, in the process creating a small fleet of Superhero-adorned XEs that will take to the streets of Paris on 29th September to deliver the #FeelXE spirit through experiences created by Jaguar and Stella.
Ms McCartney said:
Jaguar is a British brand that’s full of heritage, charm and one that I’ve admired for years so it’s a pleasure to be finally working directly with them. It was interesting to adapt my playful Superhero print for the XE, adding a feeling of empowerment to its exhilarating design – I can’t wait to see it on the streets of Paris.
All this glitz and gloss leads up to the reveal of the full (for now) Jaguar XE range at the Paris Motor Show a few days later, when we’ll get full details of the XE range, from the frugal 99g/km model to the Jaguar XE S with its supercharged 3.0 litre V6.
