New MINI to be unveiled on 18 November
Mon, 19 Aug 2013The new third-generation MINI Hatch will be revealed at the British brand’s Oxford factory on the 18 November, ahead of a simultaneous showcase at the 2013 LA and Tokyo Motor Shows two days later.
In a nice touch from the BMW-owned carmaker, the special unveiling event will be held 107 years to the day since creator of the original Mini, Sir Alec Issigonis, was born.
MSN Cars recently checked out MINI’s preview of the new compact hatchback with the MINI Vision concept. The production version of the new car is said to offer “a new era of driving excitement, in-car infotainment and premium quality.”
It’s believed the 2014 MINI will receive a new range of engines, too, including frugal three-cylinder units offering buyers greater fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions.
The car goes on sale in the first quarter of 2014 – expect more pricing and specification information to follow the new MINI’s debut on the 18 November 2013.
