The new Nissan Qashqai is a big deal for Nissan as the old Qashqai managed to create a shift from hatchbacks to crossovers almost single handed. But the new Qashqai does look pretty convincing. Revealed last week, the new Qashqai is better looking and better equipped than the old model and, even though prices have nudged upwards, it seems to offer a more convincing package for family transport than before.
Starting point for the new Qashqai range is the Visia trim which comes as standard with stuff like Bluetooth, AirCon, Cruise and LED running lights and starts at £17,495.
Move up to the Acenta trim – which costs from £19,145 – and you can add 17″ alloys, Climate, auto lights and wipers with an extra £1,850 buying in to the Acenta Premium trim complete with DAB, rear view camera, panoramic roof, parking sensors and a 7″ touch screen.
The top of the range Tekna trim throws plenty of goodies at the new Qashqai with 19″ alloys, LED headlights, Park Assist and electric seats, with prices starting at £23,145.
Engine choices are the 1.2 litre and 1.6 litre petrol and the 99g/km 1.5 litre diesel plus the more powerful 1.6 litre diesel with 128bhp.
The new Nissan Qashqai goes on sale in January 2014.
