New Range Rover – sold out for 2013
Thu, 20 Sep 2012One UK Land Rover dealer is already reporting the 2013 Range Rover is already sold out for 2013, a week before it debuts at Paris 2012.
Not only has Land Rover managed to push the Range Rover more upmarket - and managed to bring in the new 3.0 litre diesel at a similar price point to the old V8 diesel without any real moans about price hikes - they’ve made the Rangie more economical, more powerful and much ‘Greener’.
That message seems to have filtered in to Range Rover buyers very quickly, with one Land Rover dealer in the UK already reporting they’ve sold out of their entire allocation for 2013.
This snippet of information comes from one of Cars UK advertisers – Bridford Financial - who are responsible for financing a chunk of the more expensive metal we see on the roads, and who are providing finance on many of the sold-out Range Rovers.
Bridfords also reckon the Paris Motor Show this month will give a filip to sluggish luxury car sales since the new 62 plate arrived, with big hopes of strong sales on new cars like the Aston Martin Vanquish and Ferrari F12 Berlinetta once prospective buyers have been seduced by the metal in the flesh at Paris.
But it hasn’t taken until Paris to stack up deals for the new Range Rover, and nor has it for the new McLaren P1. They’ve already had finance enquiries from P1 buyers at the front of the queue for McLaren’s new hypercar, a whole year before the P1 launches.
Do we think the 2013 Range Rover is going to attract a premium? Oh, yes.
