Next Kia Forte sedan is wider, lower

Kia will introduce the next Forte sedan in 2013, and we have pictures, straight from the office in Korea.

The sedan sports a wider and lower version of the front clip from the Kia Rio. The body is stretched, and the roofline looks lower. A new character line runs along the lower portion of the body, between the wheel wells. The renderings also show a massaged rear end that looks sportier than that of the outgoing model.

The Forte, known as the K3 or the Cerato in other countries, is Kia's best global seller. The company moved 445,000 units in 2011.

We should see the new car at dealerships in the first quarter of 2013.
