Nissan DeltaWing tests at Road Atlanta
Tue, 25 Sep 2012
The experimental Nissan DeltaWing racecar will be back in action during the finale of the American Le Mans Series race at Road Atlanta on Oct. 17-20.
It will be piloted by Nissan's first GT Academy champion, Lucas Ordonez, and ALMS 2011 PC-class champion Gunnar Jeannette.
The Nissan DeltaWing is powered by a 1.6-liter, direct-injected, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, making 300 hp. Its dartlike shape allows it to race with less aerodynamic drag, and lower fuel consumption than the competition. It's capable of a 199 mph top speed.
Here are two minutes of the prototype practicing at Road Atlanta.
